One of the most important things you can do when branding your business is to be consistent. Brand yourself everywhere and always send the same message. By doing so people will start to remember your business over the long term. Most people consider the focus of a brand to be built around your logo. The most common ways to use a logo typically revolve around planting it on your business cards, brochures and website. Here are five more ways you can use your logo to spread the word and let more people know about your business.
If you look at the picture to the right you’ll see a novel way to use your logo, a flash drive! Promotional products have been around forever and people commonly put their logos on pens and coffee cups. Well how about giving out products related to your industry and planting your logo on those products. If you do computer repair a flash drive might be appropriate. Fly swatters for pest control companies, key chains for auto dealers and mini footballs for sporting goods stores are all good examples.
Regardless of whether you offer a service or a product for sale you have a chance to use your logo. If you offer a product that people can purchase then you may be packaging that product. Let’s say you bake cakes for a living. Instead of giving customers a plain white box with a cake inside you could give them one with your logo on it. If you sell them a birthday cake odds are other people at the party will see where they bought the cake. If you provide a service then you may need your customers to fill out documents. Many companies such as plumbers leave copies of such documents with their customers. Wouldn’t it be easier to remember your company if your logo was at the top of the paperwork?
For many businesses sponsoring local sports teams has long been used as a way to get the word out about a business. Let’s say for example you own a roofing company. You may want sponsor a local youth baseball team. Well instead of just putting the name of your business on the back of a shirt maybe you could put your logo on the back. Which do you think is going to be more noticeable?
Everyday there are local business related events taking place. Many of these events love sponsors. Your local Chamber of Commerce for example probably holds multiple networking events each month and they will want sponsors. Sponsoring an event is a chance for you to put your brand and logo in front of everyone that attends the event.
Every business uses vehicles in some form or fashion. Besides delivery and service vehicles you may have a sales force responsible for meeting with customers. These may be personal vehicles but that doesn’t mean they couldn’t be equipped with some temporary signage. Logos have many uses, you just need to be creative. The more ways you can think of using your logo the further you will be able to spread your brand.
